With WWE event looming, 49ers' George Kittle implores media to wrap it up

It was a Sunday to remember for San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle.

He caught three passes for 51 yards in a 26-23 victory over the Seattle Seahawks at Levi’s Stadium in San Jose, only the team’s second win in 10 games. Then he had front row seats to WWE’s annual “Tables Ladders & Chairs” event down the road at the SAP Center.

Those two activities put him in a time crunch, so when the media got him at 4:30 p.m. he was clearly antsy. And already ready to go with a “Stone Cold” Steve Austin T-shirt from 1998.

“It starts at 5 so you guys are … kind of killing me right now,” Kittle said when asked about the event.

His reaction to being able to leave carried over to his Twitter timeline.

Kittle was joined by 49ers defensive end and fellow WWE fan Earl Mitchell, who was auctioning off his game-worn cleats to support Connor’s Cure. The WWE-affiliated charity raises money for pediatric cancer research.
