Woonsocket and St. Raphael win their boys basketball games on Monday

BOYS BASKETBALL

Division I

Woonsocket 60, Mount Pleasant 46

Angel Hernandez pumped in 23 points, which included seven baskets from behind the 3-point stripe, as the Villa Novans cruised to their third win in 16 games.  Aaron Kelly and Daunte Melton each chipped in with 10 points.  The Kilties, who fall to 5-13, were led by Jaylin Robinson and his 15 points.

Division II

St. Raphael 47, Cranston West 44

The Falcons soared to a 10-point halftime advantage, but the Saints didn't panic, putting together two strong quarters in the second half to complete the comeback. Zerek Johnson finished with 20 points, 8 rebound and 5 assists to lead St. Ray's (15-3), and Addison Hazziez added 18 points and 10 rebounds. For West (10-7), Jaymien Aponte had 18 points in the loss.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Division I

Portsmouth 48, Scituate 35

Ava Moore and Gyselle Maris each scored 15 points and Annie Hurd had 12 points and 4 blocks as the Patriots rolled over the Spartans in a I-C matchup. Julia DiRaimo led Scituate with 7 points and Isabelle Schiavone had 6. Portsmouth improves to 11-6 while Scituate slips to 5-12.

Division III

Davies 52, Times2 co-op 20

Maddie Belanger and Aniyah Gomes led the way with 12 and 11 points, respectively, for the Patriots, while all three seniors —  Rachel Jean-Baptiste (7 points), Naydelin Ruiz (6) and Destiny Marrero (5) — chipped in on senior night. For the Times2-St. Patrick Academy-Paul Cuffee co-op, Yenieliz Canales-Perez scored a team high 8 points and Keylynne Collado added 7.

Narragansett 47, Lincoln School 36

Delaney Bonneau was a force at both ends of the floor as she poured in 25 points with 5 treys, grabbed 15 rebounds and recorded 5 steals in the Mariners' win over the Lynx. Also contributing was Grace Blessing, who produced a double-double with 10 assists and 10 rebounds. Narragansett improves to 16-1. For Lincoln School, now 8-8, Sarah Berube and Hevin Stanford each scored 10 points and Reign Whiteing added 9.

Toll Gate 48, Pilgrim 35

Adeline Areson pulled off a double-double with 17 points and 10 boards and the Titans, who led from start to finish, upended the Patriots on Toll Gate's senior night. All six TG seniors ended up on the score sheet. Jenna Madden, a center, led Pilgrim with 16 points.
