Who won The Star Press' ECI high school basketball Athlete of the Week? (Dec. 4-10)

The Star PressEast Central Indiana high school basketball Athlete of the Week (Dec. 4-10), sponsored by IU Health, is Wapahani's Megan Luce.

The sophomore is off to a solid start to her first varsity season and led the Raiders to a 2-0 record last week, averaging 14.0 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.

Her season averages through 10 games are 8.0 points, 3.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.6 steals per outing.

Coming in second in the voting was Delta's Jackson Wors. The senior forward was dominant in his team's 54-52 victory over rival Yorktown on Friday, notching a game-high 23 points and the winning shot just before the final buzzer.

After recovering from offseason shoulder surgery, Wors is having the best start to a season of his career by averaging 16.5 points, 3.0 assists and 2.5 steals through four games on 64% shooting.

Luce and Wors fans ran away with the voting, giving the Raider the top spot with 39.6% (2,170 votes) and the Eagle 37.2% (2,038) of the 5,486 total votes cast. Coming in third place was Wapahani's Isaac Andrews (10.1%, 554), followed in order by Muncie Central's De'Markis Cole, Wes-Del's Jacob Grant, Cowan's Timmy Watson, Monroe Central's Kimber Abshear, Delta's Jillian Barr, Blackford's Chloe Wicker, Yorktown's Lilly Sylvester and Kieran Tewari, Jay County's Molly Muhlenkamp and Blue River's Maciah Driskill.
