Where NC State baseball stands in latest NCAA Tournament projections
N.C. State baseball has a chance to host a regional in the NCAA Tournament with an impressive showing at the ACC Tournament.
As it stands, the 18th-ranked Wolfpack is 29-19, including a 15-11 record in the ACC. State has racked up series victories against several ranked teams in the league.
Entering the final week of the regular season, Baseball America and D1 Baseball has N.C. State as a lock to make the NCAA Tournament, but as a No. 2 seed. The Wolfpack hosts No. 13 Wake Forest (36-16, 15-12 ACC) in a three-game series to close the regular season. Another series win could put the Pack in line to host a regional.

The Demon Deacons, Duke (34-16), UNC (39-11), UNC Wilmington (35-17), East Carolina (37-13) and High Point (29-24) are the other in-state teams projected to participate in the 64-team postseason field.

Entering the final week of the regular season, the Wolfpack sits at No. 20 in the RPI. According to Warren Nolan Baseball, N.C. State has played the sixth-toughest schedule in the nation. The Pack is 9-11 against Quad 1 opponents.

D1Baseball predicts N.C. State will be the No. 2 seed in the Athens Regional. No. 1 Georgia, the host, along with No. 3 UCF and No. 4 Austin Peay are projected to be the other teams in Athens.
Baseball America’s projection for NC State baseball
Baseball America projects N.C. State to be the No. 2 seed in the Terre Haute Regional. The Wolfpack would join No. 1 seed Indiana State, the host, along with No. 3 Cincinnati and No. 4 Bowling Green State.
