BYU and Utah State are playing some of their best basketball with March nearly upon us.

Utah, meanwhile, is trying to regain its footing for the final key stretch before Selection Sunday on March 17.

  • Utah State: The Aggies continue to stay steady, with bracketologists projecting Utah State to be anywhere from a No. 5 to a No. 7 seed in the NCAA Tournament.

How are BYU, Utah State and Utah trending right now?

  • BYU: The Cougars (20-8, 8-7 Big 12) got a big boost from their road victory over the No. 7 Jayhawks on Tuesday. BYU has won four of its past six games and will play two of its final three regular-season games at home, with a road matchup at No. 8 Iowa State sandwiched in between. Following the win at Kansas, BYU jumped four spots to No. 10 in the NET rankings.

  • Utah State: The Aggies (23-5, 11-4 Mountain West) stayed atop the MWC standings with an overtime victory on the road at Fresno State on Tuesday night. Utah State has won four of its past five games and will play two of its final three at home, including the regular-season finale against New Mexico. The Aggies are currently No. 35 in the NET rankings.

  • Utah: The Runnin’ Utes (16-11, 7-9 Pac-12) lost their only game last week, getting blown out on the road at Colorado. Utah, which has lost four of its past five games, will play its final two home games this week when it hosts Stanford and California. The Utes are currently No. 53 in the NET rankings.

When is Selection Sunday?

This year’s NCAA Tournament bracket will be revealed on Sunday, March 17. The selection show announcing the 68-team field will be televised at 4 p.m. MST on CBS.

The 2024 tournament will begin with the First Four games in Dayton, Ohio, on March 19 and 20, with first and second round games running March 21-24.

The Final Four will be held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on April 6 and 8.
