Where is the 2025 PGA Championship? Quail Hollow Club to host second PGA major, ticket info

As the 106th edition of the PGA Championship wraps up at Valhalla Golf Course in Louisville, Kentucky on Sunday, the focus slowly begins to shift to next year's event, which will be returning to the Queen City.

The 107th PGA Championship is set to return to Quail Hollow Club for the second time in less than a decade after Justin Thomas took home the Wanamaker Trophy in 2017 by defeating the likes of Francesco Molinari, Louis Oosthuizen and Patrick Reed by two strokes for his first major championship at 24-years-old.

Preparation for the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow has been in the works for quite some time, as it was announced in 2020 by PGA of America that Quail Hollow would be hosting one of golf's four marquee events come next season.

Where is the 2025 PGA Championship at?

  • Dates: Monday, May 12 through Sunday, May 18

  • Location: Quail Hollow Club (Charlotte, North Carolina)

The 2025 PGA Championship will be held at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina from Monday, May 12 through Sunday, May 18. It is the second time that PGA of America has chosen Quail Hollow to serve as the host site for the PGA Championship.

"The PGA of America is proud to return the PGA Championship to Quail Hollow and the wonderful host city of Charlotte," PGA of America President Suzy Whaley said in 2020 statement. "Quail Hollow's course has a well-earned reputation as a stern test for the world's finest players, but what sets the club apart is its membership and the welcoming atmosphere that they promote. The state of North Carolina's appreciation for the game and major championship golf is remarkable."

While Quail Hollow has one PGA Championship on its resume, it is no stranger to hosting PGA Tour events, as it has become the home site for the Wells Fargo Championship since 2003. Quail Hollow just finished hosting its 20th Wells Fargo Championship — and third in the last four years — last weekend when World No. 2 Rory McIlroy claimed his fourth Champion's Cup. It did not host the 2022 Wells Fargo Championship due hosting the 2022 Presidents Cup.

Quail Hollow opened up in 1961 and was designed by George Cobb. With Cobb's fingerprints on the design of Quail Hollow, it is fitting that the beauty and play of the course has received comparisons over the years to golf's most famous course, Augusta National, as he also designed that course.
