"Our kids played very well despite the inclement weather. We had excellent ball security which resulted in zero turnovers on the night," Saugatuck coach Bill Dunn said. "And we also had zero penalties on the night. A credit to our overall team discipline. Our defense was strong tonight pitching its first shutout of the season and limiting Galesburg to less than a hundred yards of offense. Excellent team win heading into a first-place showdown with Lawton next week at home."

Zeeland East 43, Holland 18

The Zeeland East football team defeated Holland on Holland's homecoming to improve to 5-2 and 3-2 in the OK Green.

Gabe Amid, Ethan Rosenberg and Austin Keur scored touchdowns in the first half to spark the Chix.

Holland Christian 27, Spring Lake 13

For the second year in a row, the Maroons knocked off the Lakers.

Holland Christian improved to 3-4 and 2-3 in the OK Blue.

"Obviously, we are a passing team, but in this weather, there is just not much you can do. We ran the ball really effectively and worked hard on it all week long," Holland Christian coach Dave Abberger said. "Hats off to our kids, who fought so hard. Eli Boyce was lights out running the ball and our entire defense played like men on a mission. Ethan Abberger had some really nice plays to keep the chains moving, and had an interception to seal the victory."

Boyce had 33 rushes for 132 yards and four touchdowns. He was 16-for-22 passing with zero interceptions.

Unity Christian 44, Hamilton 28

The Hawkeyes dropped to 4-3 and 2-3 in the OK Blue after the loss on homecoming.
