Wednesday's Top Prep Performers from soccer, basketball, wrestling and water polo

Highlights from Wednesday in high school sports:

BOYS SOCCER

  • Michael Mariscal scored the game's only goal to lead Camarillo (1-2-0) to a 1-0 victory over Rio Mesa. Aiden Gonzalez and goalkeeper Ignacio Lopez-Ambriz played well for the Spartans (4-2-0).

  • Mariodavid Vega had a goal and an assist, Pabel Ayala, Chris Carbajal and Franky Garibay scored goals, and Andy Gomez posted a shutout in net to lead Oxnard (2-1-0) to a 4-0 victory over Santa Paula.

  • Jonathan Flintoff scored a goal to help Moorpark earn a 2-1 win over Santa Barbara.

GIRLS SOCCER

  • Karla Alatorre and Jenny Salas each score two goals and Alana Gonzalez and Rhianna Golson had assists to lead Oxnard (2-0-0) to a 4-1 win over Oak Park in its home opener. Kate Buchler scored the goal for the Eagles.

  • Jazmyn Camarena scored the game's lone goal off an assist by Kayla Golson and Tanaya Moreno played well to lead Rio Mesa to a 1-0 win over Santa Paula.

  • Grace Wetzel netted a hat trick, KK Chowana finished with two goals and an assist, Kalia Bell scored two goals, Ava Bowers had a goal, Emma Naftzger had two assists, and Layla Simon and Finley Doucette each had an assist as Westlake opened its season with an 8-0 win at home over Dos Pueblos.

BOYS BASKETBALL

  • Andrew Logan finished with 12 points, five rebounds and three blocks, Brett Johnson had 11 points and five assists, Isayah Garcia had nine points and nine rebounds, and Lukas Lechau had nine points, seven rebounds and two steals to lead Oaks Christian to a 51-47 victory over Ventura in the Bob Hawkins Showcase at Simi Valley High. Parsa Kamali scored 16 points, Travis Valenzuela had eight points and Finn Fancher had seven points for the Cougars.

  • Austin Maziasz finished with 29 points and seven rebounds and Aidan Delavari scored 11 points for Westlake (4-1) in its 91-66 loss to Clovis West in the Bob Hawkins Showcase at Simi Valley High.

  • Ethan Klopp scored 16 points, DJ Jacob had eight points and Peter Iba had seven points for Agoura in its 71-48 loss to Chaminade in the Bob Hawkins Showcase at Simi Valley High.

  • Blake Jones scored 24 points, Aayaan Ahmed had 18 points, and Alex Depatie and Miles Montero each contributed nine points to lead Newbury Park (3-2) to an 82-43 win over Chavez.

  • Ace Arnold scored 22 points, Gavin Wright had 15 points, and Parker Hill and Grayson Rothfield each added six points as Royal improved to 8-1 on the season with a 56-51 win over Holy Martyrs.

  • Cody Fleetwood scored 17 points, Preston Cole had 15 points and four rebounds, and Seshsha Henderson finished with 14 points, six rebounds and five assists to lead Oak Park (5-2) to a 62-57 win over Leuzinger.

  • Aidan Fate and Levi Oaks each scored five points for Moorpark in its 86-24 loss to powerhouse Sierra Canyon.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

  • Jessie Sebek had 20 points and six rebounds, Skyler Knight had 12 points and eight rebounds, Kai Staniland had nine points and six assists, Jasmine Moore finished with seven points, 10 rebounds and eight assists, Emily Rea had six points and three rebounds, and Carys Thompson added four points and two steals to lead Ventura (2-0) to a 67-42 victory over Granada Hills.

  • Freshman Sarah Cosio finished with 26 points and six assists, Milan Garcia scored 18 points, Bella Rico had 16 points, and Sophia Fernandez added seven points to lead St. Bonaventure to a 76-29 victory over Thacher.

  • Kierabella Coletta-Todd had 22 points and 16 rebounds for her fourth double-double of the season and added four steals and two blocks, Skylar Komatsu finished with 13 points, five rebounds and three steals, Kimiko Carmer had 10 points, five steals, two rebounds, two blocks and two assists, Greta Heath had three points, eight rebounds, four steals and two assists, and Kai Mekari added two points, four rebounds and four assists to lead Newbury Park (3-1) to a 50-30 win over Santa Paula. Jalynn Rico had eight points and four assists and Madilyn Stonebraker had seven points, nine rebounds and four steals for the Cardinals.

  • Moorpark defeated Channel Islands 43-17. For the Raiders, Jocelyn Martinez had 11 points, 13 rebounds and two steals.

  • Thousand Oaks lost to Hart 68-35.

BOYS WRESTLING

  • Rockoe Martinez scored the takedown in overtime to seal Buena's 37-34 win over Rio Mesa.

  • Ventura defeated Dos Pueblos 48-22 in its first dual match of the season.

  • Pacifica won its first dual match of the season, beating Santa Barbara 48-30.

GIRLS WRESTLING

  • Ventura rolled to a 78-0 win over Dos Pueblos.

GIRLS WATER POLO

  • Abby Kim finished with seven goals and Khloe Tarbet had six goals to lead Agoura to a 13-7 win over Royal.

  • Taylor Credle scored nine goals to lead Calabasas (4-1) to a 16-6 win at Pasadena.

  • Thousand Oaks defeated Moorpark 11-3.
