Wednesday's local baseball roundup: Meehl shines as Northborough Legion tops Main South

Northborough 6, Main South 2: Zach Meehl struck out 10 in five shutout innings, reached base three times and scored once to lift visiting Post 234 (5-2) past Main South (3-3) at Tivnan Field.
Joe Hayes (2 hits) and Anthony D'Angelo each doubled, drove in a run and scored.
For Main South, Owen Cooney went 2 for 3, and Chase Eggen singled and stole two bases.
Milford 11, Shrewsbury 1: Evan Cornelius struck out 11 in six no-hit innings and collected two hits and two runs to boost visiting Post 59 (7-0) at Fitton Field.
Sean McGee had two hits with three RBIs, and Scott Pagliuca also had two hits and drove in two runs.
Ryan Walton had the seventh-inning hit for Post 397 (3-3).
Hudson 16, Framingham 2: Nik Pavia struck out 14 in winning his first Post 100 start, Jason Jakobsons drove in four runs, and Andrew Malkowski and Marshall Kehlhem (2 doubles, 2 stolen bases) each had three RBIs for visiting Hudson (4-3) at Bowditch Field.
Each Hudson starter hit safely.

Douglas 5, Millbury 1: Griffin Berard struck out 11 without allowing an earned run and doubled in two runs while lifting visiting Douglas (5-3) past the Merchants (2-6). Teammate Ethan Vassar was 3 for 4 and scored a run.
Millbury's Matt Ransdell went 2 for 3, and teammate Luke Charron pitched the distance and struck out five.
Tatnuck 16, Vernon Hill 3: Starting pitcher Cam Early homered, Ethan Divito had three hits, and Anthony Nuzzolio had 2 hits, 2 runs and 2 RBIs to power visiting Tatnuck (6-1).
Riley Landry hit a two-run double in the third inning for the Pirates (4-6).
Futures Collegiate League
Westfield 7, Bravehearts 5: Greg Gorman his a home run and sacrifice fly for visiting Worcester (14-8), which allowed four runs in the eighth inning in a loss to the Starfires (13-12) at Bullens Field.
