Weather postpones these SW Indiana high school sports events scheduled for Friday

EVANSVILLE — Winter weather has caused postponements for many high school sporting events scheduled to be played Friday across Southwestern Indiana.

All athletics events and practices have been postponed for EVSC schools, as well as those in Warrick County, Gibson County and Posey County. The following boys basketball games have been postponed:

• Bloomington South at Castle

• Harrison at Memorial

• North at Terre Haute South

• Henderson County (Ky.) at Central

• Owensboro (Ky.) at Bosse

• South Knox at Vincennes Lincoln

• Mater Dei at Boonville

• Southridge at Heritage Hills

• Tell City at Gibson Southern

• South Spencer at North Posey

• Mount Vernon vs. Day School

• Washington at Princeton

• Jasper at Forest Park

• North Knox at Pike Central

• Linton-Stockton at North Daviess

• Wood Memorial at Barr-Reeve

High school sports: These are the top SW Indiana high school athletes from the week of Jan. 15-20

Below is a list of new times/dates regarding various area basketball games. All times are in CST.

• Mount Vernon vs. Day School: moved to Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

• Mater Dei at Boonville: moved to Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

• Henderson County (Ky.) at Central: moved to Saturday

• Tell City at Gibson Southern: moved to Monday at 7 p.m.

• South Spencer at North Posey: moved to Monday at 7 p.m.

• Harrison at Memorial: moved to Tuesday

• South Knox at Vincennes Lincoln: moved to Wednesday

• Washington at Princeton: moved to Feb. 6 at 7 p.m.

• Jasper at Forest Park: moved to Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m.

• Wood Memorial at Barr-Reeve: moved to Feb. 13
