Watertown's Thury and Rawdon join Aberdeen's Hermansen and Fritz on all-league teams
Watertown's Emery Thury and Dylon Rawdon and Aberdeen Central's Taryn Hermansen and Grant Fritzhave been named to the 2024 All-Eastern South Dakota Conference girls and boys basketball teams.
The teams are selected by the league's coaches.

All-ESD girls basketball
Thury, a 5-foot-10 junior forward-center, led Watertown in scoring (10.5 points per game), rebounding (8.9 rebounds per game), assists (72) and steals (58).
Hermansen is a 6-0 sophomore center for the Golden Eagles. She is repeat all-conference performer from last winter.
Other All-ESD selections include seniors Abby Flanagan of Harrisburg, Hamtyn Heinz of Huron and Sawyer Stoebner of Mitchell; juniors Lennix Dupris and Reese Terwilliger of Pierre; and sophomores Alyvia Padgett of Brandon Valley, Sadie Mehrman of Harrisburg and Addie Siemsen of Mitchell.
Three players received honorable mention. They are senior Claire Tereshinski of Yankton and sophomores Ava Kellenberger and Macy Even of Brookings.
Stoebner is a three-time All-ESD honoree. Flanagan, Terwilliger and Padgett repeated from last winter. Tereshinski also made the 2022-23 team.
All-ESD boys basketball
Rawdon, a 6-foot senior guard, is the leading scorer (13.6 points per game) for a Watertown team that has qualified for the state Class AA tournament this week for the first time since 2015. He also leads the Arrows with 100 assists in 21 games.
Fritz, is a 6-3 senior center for the Golden Eagles.
The All-ESD team also includes seniors Josh Olthoff of Brandon Valley, Jacoby Mehrman and Braeden VanBockern of Harrisburg, Gavin Soukup of Mitchell and Landon Potts of Yankton; junior Markus Talley of Mitchell and sophomores Blake Ellwein of Huron and Colton Smith of Mitchell.
Mehrman is a three-time All-ESD selection.
Receiving honorable mention are seniors Cam Phipps of Harrisburg and Jett Zabel of Pierre and junior Landon Dulaney of Brandon Valley.
