Ohio State opened its home schedule with a win

In the Buckeyes' first game against a Football Championship Subdivision opponent since 2013, Ohio State recorded a 35-7 win against Youngstown State, recording 482 yards of offense, including 258 passing yards from quarterback Kyle McCord.

In the passing game, Ohio State wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. led the way with 160 receiving yards and two touchdowns, connecting on seven receptions on 13 targets.

The Buckeyes limited Youngstown State to 234 yards of total offense and 4 yards per play.
