Watch Messi, Dan Marino, Ted Lasso in Michelob ULTRA Super Bowl 58 commercial
Lionel Messi, Dan Marino and Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) will star in a Super Bowl commercial filmed in South Florida.
The three icons have teamed up in a 60-second Michelob ULTRA spot filmed at Crandon Beach on Key Biscayne called 'Superior Beach.'
Messi walks up to a beachside bar and orders three ULTRAs. During the third pour the keg is, appropriately, kicked.
When Messi refuses "another beer," the bartender says she'll be right back. A soccer ball bounces towards Messi's feet and a pick-up game ensues.
With some onlookers taking part and others not believing Messi is showing his footwork in front of them, Sudeikis tells a woman he and Messi "go way back."
At one point, Messi kicks the ball toward a boat in the ocean, 'The Dan Marina.' Marino appears on deck, catches the ball, says, "Dan the Man," before tossing it back to shore. The pass lands perfectly on Messi's left foot.
When the bartender calls over Messi to get his beer, the Inter Miami superstar gives up the ball.
The 'Superior Beach' spot is Messi's first ever Super Bowl commercial appearance. It will be the first alcoholic beverage advertiser in the game and Michelob ULTRA’s ninth consecutive Super Bowl appearance.
