WATCH: LSU, Brian Kelly host second annual Golden Cleats Combine for Women

Brian Kelly and LSU hosted the second annual 2023 Golden Cleats Combine for Women.

The event was put on in part with LSU partner and Baton Rouge hospital Our Lady of the Lake in an effort to raise awareness and support breast cancer patients.

In a video put out by LSU, Kelly told the crowd they raised $125,000 dollars.

Baton Rouge women got the chance to participate in drills mirroring a typical LSU football practice. Several LSU coaches and players participated in the event and running the drills.

“This is just one of my all-time favorite events,” Kelly’s wife Paqui Kelly said.

“You can bring people together and you can really give patients the confidence to say, if we can win on the field, we can win on our journey to fight disease,” Dr. Katie O’Neal, OLOL’s chief medical officer, said,

Our Lady of the Lake and LSU have partnered on several projects over the years, including an $85 million deal in 2022 with the aim to bolster LSU’s sports medicine.
