Watch: Get to know new Dolphins safety Jevon Holland

Newly acquired Miami Dolphins safety Jevon Holland has quite the story to tell. He’s the highest drafted Canadian born player in NFL history. He’s got football in his blood thanks to his father, Robert, who played in the Canadian Football League with the B.C. Lions. But Jevon is much more than just a football player — and he’s already embraced that fact and welcomed the challenges that come with it.

NFL Media recently put out a spotlight on Holland to help tell his story as he enters the league. Holland is a young man looking to live up to the standards he was raised by while simultaneously finding his way on the field and in his community.

By all accounts, it is easy to see why Chris Grier, Brian Flores and the Miami Dolphins are so excited to have him as a part of their locker room. You may watch NFL Media’s spotlight on Holland below:

Despite sitting out the 2020 college football season, Holland was made the No. 1 safety drafted in this year’s NFL Draft — a testament to his versatility and playmaking on the field and just how much the Dolphins thought he’d fit what they’re building in the locker room as well. There aren’t many destinations for Holland further away to call a new home, but given what the spotlight above has shown of Holland the person?

Expect him to fit in seamlessly in to his new community just as easily as he should be able to slot into his new defense under the direction of Brian Flores.
