WATCH: Former Vikings coach Jerry Burns still engages with fans

Jerry Burns is a prominent figure in Minnesota Vikings history.

He guided the team to three playoff appearances in six seasons as head coach from 1986 through 1991, compiling a 52-43 regular-season record. Prior to that, he served as the Vikings’ offensive coordinator under legendary head coach Bud Grant from 1968 through 1985. Burns was part of the Vikings coaching staff for each of their four Super Bowl appearances and the first 15 postseason appearances in franchise history.

Burns, who turns 94 later this month, remains a favorite of many Vikings fans to this day. And despite dealing with dementia and eyesight issues, he tries to respond to everyone who sends fan mail with the help of daughter Kelly Burns-Amighi.

Check out the heartwarming video below of Burns-Amighi sharing the experience with her dad.
