How to Watch: Florida baseball vs South Florida Bulls on Wednesday

Florida baseball returns home on Wednesday, Feb. 22, as the team heads back up Interstate 75 to take on the South Florida Bulls at Condron Family Ballpark in Gainesville, Florida, in the second of a home-and-home midweek series, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.

The Gators swept the season-opening series at home against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers, mercy-ruling its first two victories before traveling to Tampa to win the first of the home-and-home series, 6-1. USF, on the other hand, opened up with a win over Maryland at home but dropped the next two to lose the series before its Tuesday night loss at home.

Other Players to Watch

There are a few hitters on USF that Florida should be careful of. Travis Sankovich batted .583 with two doubles and three RBIs over opening weekend, and Bobby Boser hit a pair of home runs in the season opener to help lead the Bulls over the Maryland Terrapins. Boser has big-boy power, which no one on Charleston Southern really had.

These guys aren’t going to kill Florida’s pitching staff, but the Gators do need to be aware of the threats in the lineup to be successful. — David Rosenberg

Florida has dominated the all-time series dating back to 1969 when the Gators won the first meeting in Gainesville, 7-3. Since then the Orange and Blue have dominated in Gainesville but the Bulls have shown a great deal of tenacity on their own turf over that time as well. Kevin O’Sullivan’s team has won six of the last seven games against USF, with the lone loss during that stretch coming at home in 2021.

Prediction

GAME 2: Florida, 10-5

SERIES: After seeing what the team is capable of against a lesser opponent, Florida should be able to run right over USF. — Rosenberg
