Watch: Houston Rockets' Dillon Brooks does staredown in 1st game vs. Memphis Grizzlies

HOUSTON — While the Houston Rockets and Memphis Grizzlies took their final shots during pregame warm-ups, Dillon Brooks' focus shifted to the mental side.

The current Rockets and former Grizzlies forward walked around the corners of the court at the Toyota Center before taking his position and staring toward the Grizzlies' bench for two minutes.

When Brooks first started his staredown, his Rockets teammates were still warming up on the side of the floor he was looking toward. Grizzlies players and coaches eventually started to trickle their way to the bench, where Brooks continued to stand, frozen like a mannequin.

Brooks recently went viral before games against the Los Angeles Lakers and L.A. Clippers when he did the same staredown in the direction of their benches before the game. He stood in the same spot until his teammates joined him in line and after the national anthem was played.

This is Brooks' first meeting against Memphis after six seasons there. The Grizzlies completed a sign-and-trade deal with the Rockets in July to send Brooks to Houston, and he subsequently signed a four-year, $80 million deal.
