WATCH: Brian Kelly hilariously runs through tackling drills at camp
LSU coach Brian Kelly’s still got it.
The former Division II linebacker at Assumption University showed off his skills at the second annual Golden Cleats Combine for women at LSU. The combine is put on by Kelly and his wife, Paqui, through their Kelly Cares Foundation.
Perhaps the highlight of the camp came from Kelly himself, though, when he ran through an agility and tackling drill capped off with Kelly absolutely taking out a tackling dummy. The video is a must-see for Tigers fans.
“I’m a defensive player really by heart,” Kelly joked after he completed the drill in the video.

In addition to delivering LSU fans this gem of a video, the event also raised more than $100,000 for the foundation, which, according to its mission statement, “strengthens communities and inspires hope by investing resources to improve health and education.”
Paqui and I can't thank everyone enough for coming out to the Golden Cleats Combine. In just year two, you helped us raise more than $100,000 for the Kelly Cares Foundation! pic.twitter.com/X2gRigbji2

The Tigers will hope Kelly’s tenacity translates to LSU’s defense in 2023.
