Warriors’ Steph Curry congratulates Lebron James on becoming NBA’s new all-time scoring leader

History was made in the NBA on Tuesday night in Hollywood.

With a jumper over Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kenrich Williams, Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James became the NBA’s new all-time leading scorer.

LeBron James surpassed NBA Hall of Famer Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s 38,387 career points with his historic shot that came late in the third quarter against the Thunder at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

Heading into the contest on Tuesday night, James needed 36 points to pass Abdul-Jabbar and set a new record. James finished the contest with 38 points in the Lakers’ loss to the Thunder, 133-130.

Following the historic moment, the NBA community celebrated James’ accomplishment, including a member of the Golden State Warriors. Steph Curry took to Twitter to congratulate his former NBA Finals opponent. Curry called James’ record-breaking bucket “legendary stuff.”
