Warriors sign Memphis’ Lester Quinones to two-way contract

Former Memphis guard Lester Quinones on Tuesday signed a two-way contract with the Golden State Warriors, the team announced.

Quinones, who went undrafted last month, averaged 10 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals on 39% shooting from 3-point range last season. He ranked seventh among qualified players in the American Athletic Conference in 3-point percentage and 13th in 3s (55).

The 21-year-old debuted with the Warriors in the California Classic, averaging 9.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and one steal on 35.7% shooting from 3-point range in three games. He is also expected to play in the Las Vegas Summer League when the team begins on Friday.

Quinones will split his time between Golden State and the Santa Cruz Warriors in the NBA G League. He is eligible to spend no more than 50 games in the NBA and will earn a flat salary equal to 50% of the minimum salary applicable to a player with zero years of service.
