Warriors become second team in NBA history with three players recording 200 made 3-pointers

Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole combined for a barrage of 3-pointers on Friday night to help fuel the Golden State Warriors win over the San Antonio Spurs.

Curry, Thompson and Poole all hit six or more triples to tally 20 made 3-pointers as a trio on Friday night during Golden State’s 130-115 win over San Antonio.

On the way to their fiery game from beyond the arc, Poole knocked down his 200th 3-pointer of the season.

With Thompson, Curry and now Poole all hitting over 200 triples, the Warriors became just the second team in NBA history to accomplish the feat of three players with 200 made 3-pointers each in a single season.

Led by James Harden, Eric Gordon and Ryan Anderson, the 2016-17 Houston Rockets became the first team in NBA history with three players drilling 200 triples each in the same season.

With each player knocking down over 200 triples each, the Warriors now have three different players in the top 10 for most made 3-pointers this season. Thompson leads the way with 285. Curry is sitting behind Indiana’s Buddy Hield at No. 3 with 274 made 3-pointers and Jordan Poole is at No. 10 with 205.

With Damian Lillard (244) and Anfernee Simons (212), Portland is the only other team in the NBA with at least two players in the top ten.

With four games left on the regular season schedule, the Warriors will have more time left to add to their historic run from beyond the arc in the 2022-23 campaign.
