Warriors assign rookies Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins to G League Santa Cruz

With their first three games of their rookie campaign in the books, both Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Ryan Rollins will make their first trip to Santa Cruz for the Golden State Warriors G League affiliate.

Following their win over the Sacramento Kings on Sunday evening, the Warriors assigned both 2022 rookies to G League Santa Cruz. Baldwin Jr. and Rollins will get the chance to practice in Santa Cruz before the G League regular-season tips off on Nov. 4.

Due to a thumb injury, Baldwin Jr. missed Golden State’s opening two games. While he was able to return from injury on Sunday before playing the Kings, the No. 28 overall pick from the 2022 draft didn’t register a minute.

Rollins has briefly appeared in Golden State’s rotation during the first three games of the season. Rollins played just under two minutes in the opener against the Los Angeles Lakers and just under a minute against the Kings on Sunday. Rollins has recorded a single board and assist to start his rookie season.

After selecting Baldwin Jr. with the No. 28 overall pick, the Warriors drafted Ryan Rollins out of Tulsa in the second round with the No. 44 overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft.
