INDIAN RIVER – Surprise, surprise.

Natalie Wandrie once again made all-state in a sport she competes in.

Most recently, the Michigan High School Softball Coaches Association revealed its all-state teams, with the Inland Lakes star earning a spot on the Division 4 all-state first team.

It was a spectacular senior season for Wandrie, who blasted 24 home runs for the Bulldogs, who themselves went on to earn a share of the Ski Valley Conference softball championship with Johannesburg-Lewiston. She also delivered a strong defensive season at shortstop.

But Wandrie wasn't the only player representing the Bulldogs on this year's Division 4 all-state team. Senior teammate Ryann Clancy, who had a terrific season of her own, made the squad as an honorable mention. During her senior campaign, Clancy was a solid defender at third base and was outstanding offensively.

In addition to helping the Bulldogs share the Ski Valley crown, the two I-L standouts played a big role in the team winning a second consecutive district championship.
