SL's Gonzales, Rebstock voted Barker Honda Athletes of the Week in Houma-, Thibodaux-area
The ballots have closed, and this week's Barker Honda Athletes of the Week in the Houma- and Thibodaux-area are South Lafourche track and field's Cesar Gonzales and Claire Rebstock for the boys and girls, respectively.
Gonzales won the Class 4A District 7 championship in the 800-meter race, receiving 67.6% of the vote. Vandebilt Catholic track and field's Samuel Kinnard was the runner-up, while Central Lafourche tennis player Blake Grabert took third place.
Rebstock won the Class 4A District 7 championship in the discus throw, receiving 60.1% of the vote. E.D. White softball's Ellie Rodrigue was the runner-up, while Thibodaux track and field's Sanai Kennedy claimed third.
