The high school spring sports season has come to an end, but there is one final round of athletes to recognize before the summer.

This week’s Statesman Journal Athlete of the Week nominees are:

  • Madison Ruman, Dallas softball

  • Ethan Kleinschmit, Kennedy baseball

  • Griffen Mucken, Blanchet baseball

  • Myleigh Cooper, Scio softball

Vote for the athlete you think is most deserving. The poll closes at noon Thursday.

Madison Ruman, Dallas softball: She went 3 for 4, with a run scored in the Dragons’ 6-5 state championship game victory against Lebanon.

Ethan Kleinschmit, Kennedy baseball: He pitched a four-hit shutout and went 1 for 3 with two runs scored in the Trojans’ 10-0 state title game victory against Blanchet.

Griffen Mucken, Blanchet baseball: He went 1 for 1 with a walk for Blanchet in its 10-0 state title game loss to Kennedy.
