Vote for The Star Press' IU Health high school football Player of Week 7

MUNCIE, Ind. — Although Week 7 of the IHSAA football season wasn't too kind to East Central Indiana teams, several individuals shined through top-notch performances.

Now you have the chance to vote for this week's Star Press IU Health football Player of the Week.

The nominees include: Wes-Del's Trey Adams, Monroe Central's Ryder Bowlin, Muncie Central's Leo Boyd, Delta's Zane Cline, Muncie Central's De'Markis Cole, Yorktown's Mason Moulton, Jay County's AJ Myers, Delta's Braxton Russell, Winchester's Colten Ruth, New Castle's Tylin Thrine, Winchester's Aidan Weatherhead and Yorktown's Wilson Webster and Quintin Williams.

Trey Adams, Wes-Del: Adams was the start of his team's 35-14 win over Indianapolis Tindley, rushing 12 times for a career-high 123 yards and one score, catching four passes for 69 yards and one score, and notching a two-point conversion.

Ryder Bowlin, Monroe Central: Bowlin was a defensive force in his team's 40-26 loss to Eastern Hancock, totaling 12 tackles, 3.0 TFL's and one forced fumble.

Leo Boyd, Muncie Central: The senior quarterback was the Bearcats' engine in their 46-36 win over Marion, completing 7-of-15 passes for a career-high 221 yards and three touchdowns, rushing 15 times for 159 yards and one TD, and adding 85 kick return yards.

Zane Cline, Delta: The junior defensive back was extremely productive in a 28-23 loss to Pendleton Heights, corralling two interceptions, one pass defensed and five total tackles.

De'Markis Cole, Muncie Central: Cole was Boyd's favorite target on Friday, catching four passes for 127 yards and two scores.

Mason Moulton, Yorktown: Moulton played very well in his team's 35-30 loss to Greenfield-Central, completing 14-of-19 passes for 224 yards and three TD's while also rushing six times for 22 yards and one score. He did, however, lose one fumble.

AJ Myers, Jay County: The Patriots couldn't pull out a win, but Myers once again carried the offense, tallying 33 carries for 153 yards and one touchdown, as well as one catch for 5 yards and one interception.

Braxton Russell, Delta: Although Delta fell 28-23 to Pendleton Heights, Russell was once again a defensive force, this time leading his team with 10 total tackles, 2.0 TFL's, one sack and three quarterback hurries.

Colten Ruth, Winchester: Ruth was a two-way force against Hagerstown, rushing 10 times for a career-high 123 yards and two scores while adding career highs in total tackles (12) and TFL's (2.0).

Tylin Thrine, New Castle: The Trojans might've lost 51-21 to Mt. Vernon, but the sophomore was dynamic offensively, notching 12 carries for 162 yards and one score, eight catches for 130 yards and one completion for 25 yards. He also added eight total tackles and one interception defensively.

Aidan Weatherhead, Winchester: Weatherhead dominated in his team's 48-0 victory over Hagerstown, rushing 34 times for 192 yards and three TD's.

Wilson Webster, Yorktown: Webster was a major part of Yorktown's game plan, notching a career-high 15 total tackles, 1.0 TFL and catching a 39-yard pass.

Quintin Williams, Yorktown: Williams was once again the favorite target for Moulton, catching five passes for a career-high 134 yards and two scores.
