Mario Rodriguez's Vikings had one heckuva start to 2024, going 2-0-1 and tying one of the top teams in the nation in Clinton, Missouri. Central to that was Landon Tryon, who delivered the game-winner over Florida High.

Fittingly, the senior is our latest Athlete of the Week after generating more than 20,000 votes in the AOTW latest poll to fend off Paxton's Sawyer Adams. He follows Paxton's Collin Stewart as the AOTW winners for 2024. Who'll follow their lead? That's for you to decide.

Athlete of the Week Nominees

Carson Fayard, Niceville

The Eagle sophomore lit up the stat sheet for 27 points, five rebounds, six assists and five steals in a win over West Florida, followed by 23 points, six rebounds, five steals and three assists in a 62-36 rout of Crestview.

Luke Kring, Walton

The 6-foot junior shined during the Braves' 3-0 week to push his season averages to 22 points, five rebounds and four assists per game for 14-2 Walton.

Logan Marise, Niceville

Marise delivered the game-winning goal against Fort Walton Beach in a 3-2 victory. The Eagles are now 13-2-1.

Ryker Stokes, Paxton

The sophomore delivered 20 points (4-of-6 3pt), seven rebounds, a block and a steal in Paxton's 61-35 rout of archrival Laurel Hill.
