Kaitlyn Verdesca voted North Jersey Lacrosse Player of the Week for April 29-May 5

After four days of voting, Waldwick senior Kaitlyn Verdesca was selected as the North Jersey Lacrosse Player of the Week.

The Warriors' attacker helped her team lock up its second league championship and tie a school record for wins in a season. She chipped in eight goals, five assists and nine draw controls.

Here were the other nominees:

Luke Biello

Westwood junior

It was a special week for the Cardinals' captain, who scored his 100th goal on Thursday and added the overtime winner later in the game against West Milford. He finished with 11 goals and four assists in a 3-0 week for Westwood.

CJ Driver

Pascack Hills junior

Driver matched a career high on Monday with 12 points and reached the 200th of his career when the Broncos rolled past Rutherford. He tallied six goals and nine assists for Pascack Hills in two wins last week.

Gabriel Feldman

Dwight-Englewood junior

Feldman had a busy week with the Bulldogs, who won three of their four matches. He picked up 20 goals and nine assists and added 16 ground balls.

Lukas Gallo

Lyndhurst freshman

Gallo turned in an incredible performance on Monday by making a career-high 30 stops in a 5-3 victory over West Orange. The Golden Bears' goalie followed it up by saving 7-of-9 in a win over Saddle Brook.

Mary Grace Craffey

Emerson/Park Ridge senior

Craffey clinched a personal milestone on Thursday when she buried seven shots and collected her 100th career goal. She wound up with 10 goals, two assists and eight draw controls in a 2-0 week for the Cavos.

Julia Graceffo

Mahwah senior

Graceffo stepped up last week for the Thunderbirds, who earned a rivalry win over Ramsey, avenged a loss to Ramapo and came back from four goals down to beat Montville. In total, she had four goals and 11 assists on the attack.

Abigail Holland

Saddle River Day senior

Holland led the Rebels to three wins last week, including a 9-8 victory over Pascack Valley in a battle for first place. She accounted for eight goals and eight assists overall.
