Hackettstown fencer voted Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week
After four days of voting, Hackettstown sabre fencer Emma Freeborn was selected as the Morris/Sussex Athlete of the Week.
Freeborn, a junior, went 3-0 against Kinnelon and 2-1 versus Chatham, both Tigers team losses.

Tyler Bienus
Mount Olive senior 190-pound wrestler
Bienus went 8-0, with all eight victories coming by pin – including three in a quad at Phillipsburg.
Kim Curcio
Hackettstown senior point guard
Curcio scored a career high 23 points in a 55-47 loss to High Point on Dec. 20. She averaged 16 points in the Tigers' two losses this week.
Charlie Hurd
Boonton senior forward
Hurd averaged 29.6 points, 10.6 rebounds, 4.6 steals as Boonton defeated Morris Tech, Mountain Lakes and Whippany Park.

Jayden James
Delbarton sophomore 138 pounds
James won his weight class at the Beast of the East. He also won all three of his matches as Delbarton finished fourth at the National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dual Classic in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
Michelangelo Oberti
Morris Catholic senior forward
Oberti averaged a double-double – 18.5 points and 15 rebounds – plus three assists, six blocks and three steals, as Morris Catholic defeated Morristown and Madison.
Greta Servitto
St. Elizabeth senior guard/forward
Servitto averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds, a steal and three blocked shots as St. Elizabeth defeated Villa Walsh and Whippany Park and lost to Mountain Lakes.
Danny Sierchio
Whippany Park senior guard
Sierchio averaged 18 points, five assists, four steals, and three rebounds as Whippany Park edged Morristown Beard and Hanover Park, and lost to Boonton in overtime.
Charlotte Tuhy
Madison junior guard/forward
Tuhy became only the second Dodgers girl to reach 1,000 career points against Morristown Beard on Dec. 20. She averaged 20.8 points and 14.7 rebounds as Madison went 3-1.

Mia Washington
Pope John junior guard
Washington had 15 points, two rebounds, two assists and four steals as Pope John beat crosstown rival Sparta, 50-32, on Dec. 20. Two days later, she had 27 points, two rebounds, an assist and a steal in the Lions' 65-63 overtime loss to Chatham.
