Meet this week's Louisville high school boys athlete of the week from CAL soccer

Fall sports are in full swing, and so is The Courier Journal's athlete of the week poll.

We had some eye-opening performances from Louisville area athletes last week, but only one can be named The Courier Journal boys athlete of the week.

CAL soccer's Bryson Hauser is The Courier Journal boys athlete of the week for the week of Aug. 14-20. The senior led CAL to a 5-0 victory over Christian Academy of New Albany, Indiana, by scoring a hat trick in the team's sixth match of the year.

Hauser narrowly beat St. Xavier's Trevor Havill to win the award.

Check back Monday morning to vote again for next week's athlete of the week. Polls close Thursdays at 6 p.m. Winners are announced every Friday.
