Vote: Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week reader poll

It's time to vote for this week's Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week.

The athletes featured in this poll represent the best on-field performers from the past week of high school sports competitions around the Augusta area. The poll will close Friday at 5 p.m.

Nominees for the Honda Cars of Aiken Augusta-area High School Athlete of the Week

Emmy McKie, Strom Thurmond softball

McKie went 3-for-4 at the plate with a pair of runs batted in and tossed five shutout innings in a 14-0 win over Pelion last week. She also recorded a base hit and two scoreless frames in a 3-2 loss to Saluda.

Nolan Panzella, Greenbrier boys lacrosse

Panzella recorded 25 ground balls and 10 takeaways in wins over Lakeside, Effingham County and Aiken last week.

Jacob Jackson, Evans boys lacrosse

Jackson recorded two goals and nine ground balls in a 10-3 win over South Effingham last week.

Christopher Swint, Davidson Fine Arts boys track and field

Swint took the top spot in the boys 100-meter (10.88), 200-meter (22.34) and 400-meter (49.47) dashes at the Greenbrier meet Saturday.

Glenn Graves, Evans boys track and field

Graves took the top spot in the boys 800-meter dash (2:06.20) and 1,600-meter run (4:45.59) at the Greenbrier meet Saturday.

Christofer Fields, Greenbrier boys track and field

Fields took the top spot in the 110-meter (15.68) and 300-meter (46.21) hurdles at the Greenbrier meet Saturday.

Taylor Booker, Augusta Christian girls track and field

Booker took the top spot in the girls 100-meter (13.03) and 200-meter (27.75) dashes at the Augusta Prep meet last week.

Janiya Scott, Thomson girls track and field

Scott took the girls high jump (5-00.00) and the long jump (15-06.75) at the Grovetown meet last week.

Hunter Carroll, Burke County baseball

Carroll tossed five scoreless frames in a 7-2 win over Hampton County last week, striking out 13 batters in the process.

Hank Daniel, Westminster Schools of Augusta baseball

Daniel stole four bases in an 11-3 win over Augusta Prep last week.

Davis Boyd, Grovetown baseball

Boyd went 1-for-3 at the plate with a home run and three RBI in a 4-3 win over Effingham County last week.
