Vote for the DC Roofing 321preps Athlete of the Week for Sept. 4-9

It is time again to vote for the DC Roofing 321preps Athlete of the Week at 321preps.com and floridatoday.com.

The following athletes were nominated for their performances from Sept. 4-9. You will find the ballot at the bottom of the page. Be sure to refresh if the poll isn't visible upon first loading. Voting will be open until noon on Friday this week.

Coaches and athletic directors are invited to nominate athletes each week. E-mail the athlete's accomplishments for the previous Monday through Saturday to bmccallum@floridatoday.com by 10 a.m. each Monday.

Here are this week's nominees:

Tayshawn Benson, Heritage football

Benson scored three times in a win over Centennial. He scored on rushes of 1, 47 and 63 yards.

Brandon Brown, Eau Gallie football

Brown recorded six tackles, five of those solo, with five for loss and four sacks on Friday in a Commodores shutout of Winter Haven.

Jennifer Chiarillo, Eau Gallie bowling

Chiarillo bowled a round of 234 on Thursday at Palm Bay Shore Lanes in a Commodores match against Heritage.

Hannah Hall, Viera golf

Hall shot 70 in an 18-hole round on Saturday in St. Cloud, winning a match against four other schools by eight strokes. She shot 35 on the Cocoa Beach Country Club Lakes Course on Thursday after a 34 at Duran on Tuesday.

Cooper Hewitt, Cocoa Beach swimming

Hewitt won the 100-yard freestyle, the 100 back and swam on the winning 400 freestyle relay in a meet against Merritt Island on Tuesday.

Jaylen Heyward, Rockledge football

Heyward scored on runs of 53, 49 and 79 yards in the first half of Friday's win over Viera. He also intercepted a pass in the game.

Lincoln Moyer, Merritt Island bowling

Moyer bowled a 300 game at Merritt Island Shore Lanes on Tuesday in a Mustangs win against Edgewood.

Tawnee Shaw, Merritt Island Christian volleyball

Shaw contributed 41 digs and 11 assists in a Tuesday win over Edgewood. She served six aces in a Thursday win over City of Life Christian.

Carson Sisler, Cocoa Beach golf

Sisler turned in a round of 34 over nine holes at Spessard Holland on Tuesday in a match against the Brevard Heat.

Izzy Starck, Viera volleyball

Starck recorded 10 kills, 11 assists and 13 digs in a victory over Satellite on Thursday.

William Struble, Edgewood swimming

Struble won the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:09.05 and the 500 free in 4:45.45. He also swam on winning 200 free and 400 free relays against Cocoa Beach on Thursday.

Johnny Wright, Melbourne football

Wright recorded 20 tackles, 11 of those solo and one behind the line in a game against Satellite. He also intercepted a pass.

Brooke Yates, Merritt Island cross country

Yates won the 5,000-meter girls Astronaut Invitational race in 18:44.6 on Saturday at Chain of Lake Park in Titusville.

Andy Zhang, Holy Trinity golf

Zhang shot a 36 over nine holes in a match against Cocoa Beach on Thursday at Baytree National.
