Vols QB Joshua Dobbs leads Vikings win over Falcons in first Minnesota game - off the bench

It took all of one game for the Vikings' trade for Joshua Dobbs to pay off in a big way for the Minnesota NFL franchise.

Less than a week after getting traded from Arizona, Dobbs came off the bench in replacement of Jaren Hall, who was ruled out of the game with a concussion after the second drive of the game. Though Dobbs had little time to get acquainted with his new teammates (or the Vikings playbook) he led a 31-28 win over the Falcons, including a go-ahead touchdown with just seconds remaining in the game.

He wasn't perfect (he was sacked for a safety on just his second dropback and had two fumbles, both of which led to field goals), but Dobbs responded in a big way. He led a touchdown drive right before the half to cut the lead to 11-10 Atlanta, highlighted by a 2-yard touchdown pass to Alexander Mattison.

He also led four scoring drives in the second half, including two that ended in touchdowns: one, an 18-yard touchdown run to tie the game at 21-21, and then a 6-yard touchdown to Brandon Powell to give Minnesota a 31-28 lead with just seconds left to play.

Dobbs' has been a tremendous season already: He led the the Cardinals to a win over previously unbeaten Dallas, then led a 99-yard touchdown drive vs. the 49ers, breaking a 21-year NFL streak in the process.

All that considered, it's no surprise that Dobbs was able to work his magic again for the Vikings. Here's what you need to know about his day vs. the Falcons:
