Vols to play in Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic
The Shriners Hospitals for Children College Classic announced its 2022 tournament field on Thursday.
Tennessee is set to join Baylor, LSU, Oklahoma, Texas and UCLA in the field slated for March 4-6, 2022.
The three-day, nine-game tournament will take place at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas. The Vols are making its fourth appearance at Minute Maid Park in program history (2005, 2008, 2012).
A tournament schedule will be announced at a later date.
Tennessee (50-18) concluded its fourth season under head coach Tony Vitello on Tuesday.
The Vols finished the 2021 season as Southeastern Conference East champions and advanced to the College World Series. Tennessee also played in the SEC Tournament championship game.
