Sep. 26—ETHAN, S.D. — Ethan ended one win streak and extended another on Tuesday night.

The Rustlers defeated Bridgewater-Emery in four sets, ending the Huskies' 11-match winning streak while giving Ethan a fifth-straight match win. Set scores were 23-25, 25-16, 25-21 and 25-21.

Ava Lingemann led Ethan with 22 kills and 25 digs. Marissa Storm had 20 kills and 22 digs. Rachel Klock added three blocks, Claire Mellegaard had 25 digs and Madeline Bartscher had 41 assists.

Bridgewater-Emery was fueled by Lexi Golder, who had 12 kills and four blocks. Oakley Weber contributed eight kills and 22 assists, and Hayden Hofer had eight kills and 12 assists. Rounding out the Huskies was Maizey Strombeck, who notched three aces and 20 digs, and Kennedie Roskens, who had 20 digs.

Ethan (15-7) hosts Freeman on Thursday, and Bridgewater-Emery (11-2) visits Wessington Springs on Thursday.

* Macy Koupal put up 28 assists, 16 digs, four service aces and four blocks for Class A No. 3 Wagner in a three-set sweep of Region 5A foe Hanson. Ashlyn Koupal added 12 kills, 18 digs and three aces and Kya Kjeldgaard notched 10 kills and three blocks for the Red Raiders. In the defeat, Claire Bridge had 15 digs and three aces for the Beavers.

* Sanborn Central/Woonsocket sailed past Highmore-Harrold in a sweep, led by 12 kills and 17 digs from Kenna Ochsner alongside nine kills and three blocks by Liz Boschee and 13 digs with five aces from Kam Ochsner.

* Jolie Palmer posted 18 kills and five service aces for Miller in a sweep of Chamberlain. In the defeat, Grace VanderLey had two aces for the Cubs.

* Daniela Lee recorded 14 kills, two aces and two blocks for Class B No. 4 Colman-Egan, which defeated Howard in a sweep. Abby Aslesen had seven kills and two blocks for the Tigers in the loss.

* Class A No. 5 Madison got 14 kills and five solo blocks from Audrey Nelson in a sweep of Parker.

* Jacy Wolf logged 13 kills, 12 digs and eight assists and Lily VanHal added 24 assists with four service aces as Class B No. 2 Chester breezed to a three-set sweep of Deubrook Area.

* Class B No. 3 Northwestern took out Redfield in a sweep, powered by 24 kills and two aces from Ashley Haven and 35 assists by Ella Boekelheide.
