Vikings' Jordan Addison cited for reckless driving after allegedly driving 140 mph

Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison was cited for speeding and reckless driving after authorities clocked him driving 140 miles an hour.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Addison was driving down Interstate 94 in St. Paul at 3 a.m. on Thursday when a state trooper saw the receiver, who was driving a Lamborghini Urus, driving 140 mph in a listed 55 mph zone. Addison was subsequently pulled over and issued a citation.

“We are aware of last night’s traffic incident involving Jordan Addison and are gathering additional information," the Vikings said in a statement.

The 21-year-old Addison was selected with the 23rd overall pick by the Vikings in April's NFL draft after a decorated college career, which began at Pittsburgh.

Jordan Addison was the Minnesota Vikings' first-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft.

In 2021, Addison won the Biletnikoff Award for college football's best receiver after catching 100 passes for 1,593 yards and 17 touchdowns.

He transferred to USC and had 59 receptions for 875 yards and eight touchdowns last season for the Trojans.

Addison is expected to contribute to an already talented receiving core with All-Pro Justin Jefferson and K.J. Osborn.

Vikings rookies are set to report to training camp on Sunday.
