The Rush: Wiggins posterizes Luka, Warriors lead Mavs 3-0 in WCF

The Warriors took a commanding 3-0 lead in the Western Conference Finals over the Mavericks thanks in part to Andrew Wiggins’ high flying dunk over Luka Doncic. Candace Parker made history in the Sky’s win over the Mystics, becoming the oldest WNBA player to drop a triple double and joining an exclusive club in the process. Manchester City won the Premier League in dramatic fashion, but their fans celebrated way too hard as Aston Villa’s goalkeeper was hurt in the process. Fortunately, we have a great example of how you SHOULD celebrate a victory thanks to Alex Morgan and Wave FC!

- Snaps it outside to Wiggins. Goes by Bullock! Oh! Drops the sledgehammer!

- They are going to take a look at this.

JARED QUAY: I don't want to say the Western Conference Finals are over, but--

- It's over.

JARED QUAY: Sure, Luka dropped 40 again. But when Andrew Wiggins is doing you dirty like this--

[GLASS SHATTERS]

--you probably won't stand a chance.

With the game three victory, Golden State takes a commanding, and probably insurmountable, 3-0 lead over Dallas. I don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but Dirk ain't walking through that door any time soon. So I'm calling it curtains on the Mavericks' season.

- Bye-bye.

JARED QUAY: Don't ever let anyone tell you you're too old to do something, especially if your name's Candace Parker. The basketball legend dropped a historic triple double in the Sky's 82.73 win over the Mystics.

- Does Parker get the assist? She does. There it is! Candace Parker becomes just the third player in WNBA history with multiple double triple doubles.

JARED QUAY: Parker is 36 years old and becomes the oldest woman in the WNBA to ever drop a triple double with 16 points, 13 boards, and 10 assists. Great job, Candace. But you're making the rest of us look bad. Not all of us 30-something-year-olds can have a Hall of Fame basketball career, kids, a second career as a TV analyst, and break records at the same time. So let the rest of us have some shine too, please.

Manchester City won the English Premier League. And that's soccer, um, AKA football for us Americans.

- Football is life.

JARED QUAY: And City won their hardware in dramatic fashion. All they had to do was beat lowly Aston Villa to seal their ship and keep Liverpool in second place. But with 20 minutes remaining, City found themselves down to 2-0. That's not good.

- Not good at all.

JARED QUAY: But this is Manchester City, the most dominant squad in the Premier League over the last few seasons. So a 2-goal cushion proved to be insufficient, as City scored 3 times in the last 15 minutes.

- Holy moly.

JARED QUAY: Unfortunately, the fans celebrated the championship a bit too hard.

- This is the incident we're talking about. Robin Olsen, the goalkeeper, it looked like he was, well, assaulted perhaps a couple of times on his way off the pitch.

JARED QUAY: Damn, guys. You can't be attacking the opposing goalkeeper like that.

- Sportsmanship!

JARED QUAY: Fortunately, we have a wonderful example of what you should do to celebrate a victory thanks to Alex Morgan's game-winning goal for The Wave FC. Enjoy.

- Alex Morgan celebrating with her child after another game-winning goal.
