TANK WILLIAMS: Just peep the tape, and there is no question that Jerry Jeudy is one of the best route runners in the draft. He'll cut on the dime and give you a nickel and five pennies on the way to the zone. Now, as far as upside, Jeudy has the speed, explosiveness, and refined footwork to be a dominant receiver. But on the downside, I think Jeudy is more suited to be Robin not Batman. He's a hell of a college route receiver, but do I think he's a bona fide wide receiver one in the NFL? No. Not yet.
In Jeudy's NFL comp, there's another Bama wide receiver, Calvin Ridley. Both guys have similar attributes, and like Ridley, Jeudy would benefit from having a heavy hitter like Julio Jones pulling additional coverage away from him early on his career. But don't get it twisted, in this pass happy league, having a baller like Jeudy as your number two, can provide a Mike Evans, Chris Godwin like situation that's very appealing for NFL quarterbacks.
