Video: Can Jake Paul pull off his biggest win yet by beating Anderson Silva?

The toughest test of YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul’s boxing career is imminent.

On Saturday at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime pay-per-view, Paul will step into the boxing ring to face former UFC middleweight champion and future Hall of Famer Anderson Silva.

Paul has ramped up his level of competition each time out through five professional boxing bouts. Starting off against fellow YouTuber Ali Eson Gib, and most recently a pair of bouts against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, Paul finds himself facing the most accomplished striker of his young career.

Silva’s UFC accolades are well known, but after walking away from the promotion in 2020, he has since gone on to record two pro boxing wins by defeating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by split decision and knocking out Tito Ortiz in the first round.

Can Paul further validate his boxing venture by picking up a win over one of the greatest strikers to ever compete in MMA? Will Silva take things as seriously as he did against Chavez Jr. and turn in another classic “Spider” performance?

Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Brian “Goze” Garcia, Mike Bohn, and Nolan King weighed in on that topic with host “Gorgeous” George. You can watch their discussion in the video above. You can also check out this week’s complete episode below.

“Spinning Back Clique” is released each Monday LIVE on MMA Junkie’s YouTube channel.
