Vermont men's, women's basketball: The full schedules for the 2023-24 season
A rare doubleheader will kick off the 2023-24 season for the defending America East champion University of Vermont men's and women's basketball teams.
The Catamount women will welcome Miami (Ohio) for their season opener on Monday, Nov. 6, with the Vermont men to follow vs. Merrimack at Patrick Gym. The hoops twinbill begins at 5 p.m. with the women's matchup; the men to follow at approximately 7:30.
The men and women's America East and UVM women's schedules were unveiled last month. The UVM men announced their complete nonconference slate Wednesday.

In a switch-up from last year, when they had the country's 34th toughest schedule, the Catamount men will host six nonconference home games and will travel to South Carolina for the Myrtle Beach Invitational. Vermont will also head to Bradley, the reigning Missouri Valley Conference regular-season champion, play Colgate for a third straight year, and close the 15-game nonleague slate with a four-game road trip: Virginia Tech, Toledo, Miami (Ohio) and Brown.

The UVM women's 11-game nonconference slate includes a trio of contests in the Gulf Coast Showcase in Estero, Florida. UVM is set to play North Carolina in the showcase opener on Nov. 24. Among the home nonleague games, UVM will play St. Rose, in the return of former Albany men's coach Will Brown to Patrick Gym, Dartmouth and Holy Cross, the reigning Patriot League champion.
