Note: RPI scored four unanswered goals to knock off visiting Vermont (9-9-1).

SATURDAY, JAN. 6

Men’s basketball

Vermont 65, Maine 58

Women’s basketball

Maine 60, Vermont 48

M: Anne Simon 20 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists, 6 steals. Adrianna Smith 15 points, 7 rebounds.

V: Keira Hanson 20 points. Emma Utterback 11 points, 6 assists.

Note: Host Maine (9-7, 2-0) outscored Vermont (9-7, 1-1) 37-22 in the middle quarters, including 20-10 in the third period to take control. The Black Bears out-rebounded the Catamounts 41-32 and held Vermont to 31.6% shooting from the floor. The game saw 12 first-half lead changes. Vermont's Anna Olson reached 1,000 career points in the loss.

Note: Pierce's power play goal at 9:22 of the third period gave host Dartmouth a 4-2 advantage. The Catamounts (9-8-1) saw their five-game winning streak.
