Vanderbilt scores first TD on Georgia since 2018

The Vanderbilt Commodores (2-5) came to play against the top-ranked Georgia Bulldogs in Nashville, scoring on their first possession of the game.

A five play, 75-yard drive that was capped off with a 49-yard Ken Seals touchdown pass to London Humphreys makes it 7-0 Commodores. Vanderbilt’s drive took just 2:53 off of the clock.

The miscommunication by the Georgia secondary allowed a catch and run that we rarely see against this UGA defense.

It’s too early to make an assessment, but the Bulldogs, who are 31.5 point favorites, have had issues with slow starts this season. Georgia had a chance to answer on its first possession, but a Carson Beck fumble has the Commodores back on offense in Bulldogs’ territory.
