Vanderbilt men's basketball vs. Pittsburgh: Live updates score

For the first time in the Jerry Stackhouse era, Vanderbilt men's basketball (3-1) will face a power-conference opponent outside the SEC on Wednesday. To lump Pittsburgh in with other power-conference teams, though, may be charitable.

The Panthers (3-2) already have a loss to The Citadel and rate 169th in KenPom, one spot ahead of Winthrop and the second-worst of any power conference team (only Georgia rates out worse).

The Commodores faced a stunning loss to VCU a week ago but got back on track with a win over Winthrop. Vanderbilt has been short-handed in the early going, losing Liam Robbins and Rodney Chatman to injuries (Robbins is out indefinitely and Chatman is expected to return sometime in December) and Peyton Daniels to the transfer portal.

The game will tip off at 8 p.m. CT and will broadcast on ACC Network.
