Vanderbilt football's 2024 schedule is complete: See the full list of opponents, dates
Vanderbilt football's SEC schedule for 2024 was announced by the league on Wednesday.
The league previously released the SEC opponents for each team in June. Georgia will no longer be a yearly opponent for the Commodores, but Vanderbilt will face Texas, Alabama and LSU in 2024.
The Commodores had a few changes to the non-conference schedule and will host Ball State instead of a previously reported game against SMU. They will open at home against Virginia Tech on Aug. 31.
Vanderbilt will keep its rivalry game against Tennessee on Nov. 30.
With the SEC expanding to 16 teams in 2024 by adding Oklahoma and Texas, the league is dropping divisions but remaining at eight conference games for now. It is unclear whether that structure will remain for 2025 and beyond; that will be decided at a later date.
In June, the league said that its motivations when putting together the schedule were pre-existing rivalries and competitive balance.
