Vanderbilt baseball vs. Texas live score updates at Astros Foundation College Classic

Vanderbilt baseball is on the road this weekend for the first time this season when it plays in the Astros Foundation College Classic at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

The Commodores (7-3) played in the event (formerly known as the Shriners College Classic) in 2018. They will match up against Louisiana (5-3), Houston (6-2) and Texas (7-1).

After blowing a six-run lead in the final game of a series against Gonzaga, Vanderbilt bounced back with midweek wins over Indiana State and Evansville.

The Commodores will have some injury absences this weekend. Both catcher/outfielder Jack Bulger (hamstring) and first baseman Chris Maldonado (shoulder) are unlikely to play, though both did travel to Houston, according to the team's social media accounts.
