USA vs. Puerto Rico: How to watch, channel, location, roster, start time
The Golden State Warriors won’t be back on the floor until the preseason kicks off in October. However, their coach is already back on the sideline this week.
Steve Kerr is set to coach Team USA in the upcoming FIBA World Cup. Before USA meet New Zealand in their FIBA World Cup opener in the Philippines, Kerr’s squad will meet Puerto Rico in an exhibition showcase game.
Team USA’s contest against Puerto Rico will be the first of five showcase games before the FIBA World Cup. Team USA will also play Luka Doncic’s Slovenia, Spain, Greece and Germany.
Monday’s contest will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Team USA will then go abroad for their remaining showcase games before the FIBA World Cup.
Instead of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, Kerr will oversee a star-studded roster with multiple NBA players. Minnesota’s Anthony Edwards, New York’s Jalen Brunson and New Orleans’ Brandon Ingram will help lead Team USA in the FIBA World Cup.
Kerr will coach alongside Miami’s Erik Spoelstra, Los Angeles’ Tyronn Lue and Gonzaga’s Mark Few.
Before Team USA hits the floor against Jorge Alvarado and Puerto Rico, here is everything you need to know, including how to watch.
