USA Today Florida Network high school football poll: Two teams tied atop Class 4S

A chaotic Week 1 in Class 4S has resulted in a level in confusion over who should be the top-ranked team in the polls.

For the first time the three years of the USA Today Florida Network high school football, two teams are tied atop the rankings.

Lakeland, which lost to Miami Norland in the season opener, and Vero Beach, which knocked off Miami Northwestern, each received three first-place votes and are tied for No. 1. Venice, the previous No. 1, and Buchholz each received one vote.

The other eight classes have the same No. 1 team as last week, with a couple notable developments. Norland received one first-place vote in Class 2M and Bishop Verot received a first-place vote in Class 2S.
