US Women's Open golf: Odds, tee times, TV, streaming for tournament at Pebble Beach
The U.S. Women's Open golf championship be held this week at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Pebble Beach has hosted 13 USGA tournaments, but this will be the first time the venue hosts the longest-running major in women's golf that began in 1946, when Patty Berg won the inaugural championship.
The 78th edition of the U.S. Women's Open features stars, old and new, competing in four rounds of 18 holes. The field of 156 includes 28 amateurs, 89 fully exempt golfers and 12 U.S. Women's Open champions.
Rose Zhang will play after turning pro in May. She set records in the sport as an amateur at Stanford, where she outpaced Tiger Woods' collegiate career, and last month won her LPGA debut at the Mizuho Americas Open. At the Carmel Cup last year, Zhang set the women's course record at Pebble Beach, shooting 9-under 63 in the second round en route to winning the tournament.
Veteran Amy Olson will tee off at Pebble Beach while seven months pregnant. The U.S. Women's Open will be her first time playing at the revered California course. She tied for second at the 2020 U.S. Women's Open.
Minjee Lee will seek to defend her title at the longest-running major in women's golf. She won the 2022 U.S. Women's Open, her second major, and earned a $1.8 million prize, the largest payday in the history of women's golf at the time.
Angela Zhang, a teenage phenom from Washington who is not related to Rose, is the youngest competitor in the field. She turns 14 the first day of the championship. And three-time champion Annika Sorenstam, of Sweden, is the oldest at 52.

The 2023 U.S. Women's Open tees off at 4 p.m. ET (1 p.m. local) Thursday and will be played through Sunday, when the championship round takes place. Pebble Beach Golf Links in California is hosting the tournament for the first time.
How to watch the U.S. Women's Open on TV
The U.S. Women's Open will air on NBC Universal's network of channels.
On Thursday and Friday, television coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET on USA Network. On Saturday and Sunday, television coverage starts at 3 p.m. ET on NBC. This is the first time NBC will air a women's golf championship in primetime.

Coverage on Thursday and Friday starts at 4 p.m. ET. Coverage of Saturday and Sunday's rounds starts an hour earlier.
U.S. Women's Open odds: Rose Zhang and Jin Young Ko favored to win
Whether you're a veteran wager or a newcomer looking to bet on the U.S. Women's Open, there is a clear favorite to win: Rose Zhang (+1100). She's also the most likely to finish in the Top 5 (+300) and lead after the first round (+2500), per OddsChecker.
Zhang is followed by Korea's Jin Young Ko, who is +1400 to win, +400 to finish in the Top 5, and +3000 to lead after the first round.
U.S. Women's Open format
The U.S. Women’s Open is a 72-hole, stroke-play competition. A total of 156 players play 18 holes Thursday and Friday. The fields will then be reduced to the low 60 scores and ties. Those players compete on 18 holes Saturday and Sunday.
If there is a tie after 72 holes, there will be a two-hole aggregate playoff followed by a hole-by-hole playoff, if needed, until a winner is determined.
