Urban Meyer joins Iowa fans, waves to kids at nearby children's hospital (Video)
Iowa started a new tradition this season that has quickly become one of the coolest things in college football.
At the end of the first quarter of every game at Kinnick Stadium, Iowa fans wave to the children at nearby Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, which overlooks the field. On Saturday against Ohio State, Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer didn’t miss his chance to wave to the kids.

We’ve seen other opposing teams participate in the tradition this season; Ohio State wasn’t the first. It’s a thing that’s hard not to get swept up in, I’d imagine, even when you are super focused on the game.
The gesture always looks really cool, but it was especially cool when Iowa hosted Penn State for a primetime game. Fans held their cell phones while they waved.
